MEET THE ARTIST Sunday, Nov. 24, 2:30-4:30 p.m.

HIGHLIGHTS Cooper has studied and exhibited in the Greater Boston area with work in the De Cordova Sculpture Park and Museum student show, Danforth Museum juried show in Framingham and the Newton Art Association.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts from Bridgewater University and has studied painting at the graduate level under Arthur Polansky.

Cooper says of her work, “My landscape paintings feature meandering rows of steps gently cascading down walls on imaginary structures. Thinking of these surreal scenes as murals that are painted within gallery spaces, the stage is set for characters to appear in the story of my invention. The intent is to spark the interest of an unseen audience as it is visually lured into the unfolding fabric of the gallery stage.”
