Weston-based GFC Development Inc. has received a 2013 silver PRISM award from the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston.
The PRISM (Prestigious Results in Sales and Marketing) awards recognize the finest builders, developers, architects and other professionals in the industry. The company earned the award for its innovative and green design for 64 Catherine St. in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood.
The Catherine Street property consists of two green townhouses constructed in an insulated building that feature energy-efficient appliances and fixtures, as well as solar photovoltaic and solar thermal panels for power and hot water.
The homes, which will feature three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, are being constructed as part of Boston’s Energy Plus “E+” Green Building Program, a residential design and construction initiative to bring energy-efficient and energy-positive green homes to the city’s neighborhoods.
64 Catherine St. is expected to be completed this month. Ellen Grubert and Janis Lippman, sales associates affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England, are the exclusive listing agents for the property.
