BlumShapiro Merger Expands Footprint In Greater Boston

Regional accounting and consulting firm BlumShapiro announced Friday it has merged with a firm in Newton, Mass., expanding the company’s footprint in Massachusetts, particularly the Boston area.

The merger of BlumShapiro with Friedman, Suvalle Salomon PC took effect Wednesday. The firm will be called BlumShapiro.

The company is adding 24 employees in a Newton office. BlumShapiro now has a total of 385 workers total, with offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Connecticut offices are in West Hartford and Shelton. The company also is in Providence, R.I., and Quincy, Mass.

“We are pleased to have a firm as highly respected and renowned as Friedman, Suvalle Salomon PC join our team,” BlumShapiro Managing Partner, Carl Johnson said in a statement. “Their addition to BlumShapiro strengthens our audit, tax and business consulting expertise.”

Friedman, Suvalle Salomon PC started in 1985 and offers audit, accounting, and business advisory services to wealthy, high net-worth individuals and non-profit organizations.
