The U.S. Small Business Administration recently designated Liberty Bay Credit Union a Preferred Lender in the Greater Boston area after demonstrating a proficiency in processing and servicing SBA-guaranteed loans.

With branches in Boston, Braintree and Stoneham, Liberty Bay Credit Union has earned Preferred Lender’s status after exhibiting an outstanding record with the SBA, according to a press release. Paul Gravellese, vice president of business solutions for Liberty Bay Credit Union, stated the financial institution is excited to be selected as a Preferred Lender by the SBA and recognized the important contributions that go with the title.

“Financing business expansion strengthens our local economy and Liberty Bay Credit Union looks forward to providing assistance to the small business community with SBA-guaranteed loans,” Gravellese said, according to Patch.

Ed Lopes, president and CEO of Liberty Bay Credit Union, said that the financial institution is one of the largest credit unions in Massachusetts with the financial strength, commercial talent and variety of business banking solutions necessary to help businesses run more efficiently.
