One of the more interesting shows of the weekend might be the one taking place at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods on Friday night as former heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson brings his one-man show to the casino. The Dave Matthews Band will perform at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford on July 11-12. Tickets for the concerts go on sale Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. through livenation.com. The band is also scheduled to play the Xfinity Center on Mansfield, Mass. on June 7.
To date, Katy Perry has included only one New England stop on her upcoming arena tour. Perry arrives at Boston’s TD Garden on Aug. 1.

Crystal Bowersox, a finalist on the ninth season of “American Idol” will headline Mechanics Hall in Worcester on March 20. Tickets are available through mechanicshall.org.
The 11th annual Bobby Wright Jazz Jam takes place on Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Brennan’s Place on High Street in Holyoke. The jam is a benefit for the Holyoke Community College Jazz Education program. Admission is free, donations will be accepted.
Roomful of Blues will perform at the Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield on Feb. 15. Tickets are $49.50 and $39.50 and available online through berkshiretheatregroup.org.
Worcester band Orpheus, which had a late 1960s hit with “Can’t Find the Time,” will reunite for a performance at the Bull Run in Shirley on Feb. 15. Lead singer Bruce Arnold will be on hand for this 40th anniversary performance. Tickets are available through bullrunrestaurant.com.

It is shaping up to be an exciting weekend at Theodores’ with Professor Harp performing on Friday and local band General Gist and the Mexican Cadillac getting its first ever headlining slot on the famed-stage. The band plays the room on Saturday.
