Boys’ basketball Players of the Week

Guilien Smith, Catholic Memorial — In a win over St. John’s Prep that clinched the Catholic Conference title, the senior guard had 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists.


Anthony Gilardi, Malden — In a win over Greater Boston League leader Everett, the junior forward had 31 points and 14 rebounds.

Johnny Bowden, Madison Park — The senior guard had 16 points, 10 assists, and 9 rebounds in a city league win over Latin Academy.

Miles Robinson, Arlington — The Spy Ponders improved to 10-5 last week in part because of Robinson’s 13 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 steals in a win over Burlington.

Tyler Jones, Kennedy Academy — Jones had 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 steals in a win over Boston Prep.

Riley Fusaro, Nantucket — Fusaro hit eight 3-pointers and finished with 28 points in a win over Bristol-Plymouth.

Felipe Pires and Nick Kenyon, Case — The pair combined for 64 points in two games to qualify Case for Division 3 state tourney at 10-3. Pires had 10 vs. Bourne and 19. vs Dighton-Rehoboth while Kenyon had 19 vs. Bourne and 16 against Dighton-Rehoboth.
