BOSTON — While almost a foot of snow was falling on Greater Boston on Wednesday, people were already looking ahead to a possible major weekend storm. Forecasters are now saying that it may not be that bad after all.
The National Weather Service is projecting that the major system headed our way will pass far enough out to sea and to the east of Boston that it will spare the region a major snow event. Still, some snow accumulation is expected.
Glenn Field of the National Weather Service’s Taunton office told the Patriot Ledger that “the big storm is off” for this weekend and to not expect more than 4 inches of snow.
