For the second time in less than a week, a local bank has hired a team of brokers from Poli Mortgage Group.
This time, Leader Bank says it recruited seven loan originators away from the Norwood, Mass.-based firm.
With about $650 million in assets, Arlington-based Leader is one of the more aggressive home lenders in Greater Boston, and it says it intends to continue recruiting as its grows its mortgage operation.
All seven of the brokers Leader hired away from Poli will work in the bank’s loan production office in Needham.
The brokers, including Keith Hapenney, Peter McCourt, Michael Duquette, Chip Newman, Phil Murphy, Karin Nickerson and Eric Wohler, average about 15 years of experience in the industry.
Last week, Blue Hills Bank said it had hired Poli Back Bay mortgage broker Tracy Bellavance away from Poli, which does business along the East Coast.
