Boston Weather Forecast: Some accumulating snow possible Wednesday

A cold front will be arriving in the Greater Boston area carrying some significant amounts of moisture with it. We will experience some scattered snow showers and flurries throughout the day but could see squalls that can drop up to an inch or two of snow. Some models are also showing some ocean effect snow showers developing as well.

There could also be an occasional leftover snow shower throughout the evening on Wednesday.

This Afternoon: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29. Southwest wind around 7 mph.

Tonight: Cloudy, with a low around 21. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable.

Wednesday: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a high near 30. Northeast wind 6 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Wednesday Night: A chance of snow showers, mainly before 8pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 20. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Thursday: A slight chance of snow showers before 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 30. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 38.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28.
