It sounds like the exterior will be slightly less dramatic at the Boston location, 59 Temple Place, which will actually be two rehabbed (as in, renovated, not Lohan) buildings at the corner of Temple and Washington Street. The combined floor area of 135,500 square feet will eventually yield 243 guest rooms plus ground-floor space for restaurants and retail.
Though developers have kept pretty mum on details for the space, a lobby rendering (seen here) posted on the website of Advantage Boston, a city convention and meetings organization, suggest something along the industrial-chic lines: Note the marble walls and stairs, juxtaposed with the crisscrossing exposed ceiling girders.
Note also that renderings also always look like screen shots straight out of CD-ROM based PC games from the mid-1990s, so until we get more from the source, take it with a grain of salt. Luckily, if the slated 2014 opening is still on track, well be seeing soon enough.
