The group introduced its project, dubbed the Congregational Organizing Initiative, during a meeting Sunday in the basement of Roxbury Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Burns Stanfield, president of the GBIO, began the session with a prayer of remembrance for the victims of the Marathon bombings. He recalled the importance of the city’s interfaith structure – what he called a “fabric” – in the grieving progress.
