More than 350 volunteers from Greater Boston real estate, banking, health care and retail companies will turn out on Saturday to make critical repairs and renovations for four needy families and three nonprofit facilities.

The event, sponsored by Rebuilding Together Boston and part of National Rebuilding Day, will bring together volunteers to renovate homes and nonprofit facilities in Hyde Park, Dorchester,  Mattapan, Roxbury, South End, and West Roxbury, at no cost to recipients.

Sponsors and many of their employee volunteers include: Gilbane Building Co., Sea-Dar Construction, Bank of America, Booz Allen Hamilton, Grand Circle Foundation, Home Depot Foundation, Merrill Lynch, Pro Teck Valuation Services, TD Bank Foundation, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Bullhorn, DiMella Shaffer, Starbuck Coffee Co., and Wells Fargo Foundation.

Since its founding in 1991, Rebuilding Together Boston has completed 400 projects with an estimated value at nearly $7 million and managed 20,000 volunteers. Recipients are unable to pay for critical repairs because of hardships such as advancing age, medical emergencies, low incomes, rising property taxes or stretched organizational budgets. Rebuilding Together Boston receives no funding from government agencies. Instead, they rely on contributions, as well as donated goods and services from local businesses.
