Bravo’s ‘Top Chef’ Heads to Boston for Season 12

NEW YORK – April 30, 2014 – Bravo Media announced today in partnership with the Greater Boston Convention Visitors Bureau that the Emmy and James Beard Award-winning culinary competition series Top Chef will travel to Boston, MA for the series’ twelfth season. Chef’testants will battle it out knife-to-knife in the “Birthplace of the American Revolution” to see if they have what it takes to earn the title and culinary bragging rights.

 

“Boston has always been at the top of our wish list as a location for ‘Top Chef,’ not only because of its rich historical significance, but also because of its robust and ever-growing culinary scene,” said Shari Levine, SVP of Current Production for Bravo. “’Top Chef’ will showcase the many facets of the city which in turn will bring its fresh, unique flavor to Season 12.”

 

Host Padma Lakshmi, head judge Tom Colicchio and judge Gail Simmons return for Season 12, which begins production this Spring. The series will also feature guest judges including Boston-based chefs and celebrities, as well as top entertainers and culinary stars throughout the season. “Top Chef” Season 12 is set to premiere this Fall on Bravo.

 

“Top Chef” is produced by the Emmy Award-winning Magical Elves.  Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz serve as executive producers.
