It’s almost that time again. The time when tech and sports collide in Boston’s second annual Entrepreneur Games, where tech entrepreneurs and venture capitalists will compete to support local youth entrepreneurship programs.
According to organizers, more than 600 members of Boston’s tech community will be competing in more than 25 athletic activities and mental challenges to benefit Build Greater Boston. The Entrepreneur Games will be held on June 19 at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center and is being organized in partnership with TUGG, Silicon Valley Bank, RaceMenu, Plastiq, TechStars, T3 Advisors, MassChallenge and the New England Venture Capital Association.
Ten teams, representing ten different countries, will compete against each other to take home the Gold. Each team includes 40 people – some teams are composed of one company while others combine multiple organizations. Games include volleyball, dodgeball, rhythmic gymnastics, inflatable obstacle courses, relay races, a 50 yard dash, world’s strongest man, dance dance revolution and more.
More than 30 corporate and food and beverage sponsors will be present at the games including: Equinox, Crossfit, Social Boston Sports, ZICO, KIND, Core Power, Samuel Adams, Boloco, Popeyes, Chicken and Rice Guys, BodyArmor, Flybridge Capital Partners, Atlas Venture, Boston Seed and LogMeIn.
