Real Estate Alert reports the parent of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank is in negotiations to buy Apartment Realty Advisors, a move that could unite two Portland offices.







A summary of recent transactions and personnel news within Greater Boston’s real estate community.

  • LCB Senior Living LLC in Norwood has appointed property-management veteran Italo Visco as director of development. According to LCB Senior Living, a provider of senior and assisted living facilities and services, Visco has managed the delivery of roughly 1.5 million square feet of space valued at $230 million.
  • JLL Construction has commenced construction of the Cousens Gymnasium facade-restoration project at Tufts University in Medford. The project is scheduled for completion in November and, according to JLL, will address deferred maintenance issues and include “a significant amount of historical custom brick replication.” Cousens Gymnasium opened in 1932 and was named in honor of John Albert Cousens, Tufts’ sixth president . The project’s manager is Bob Kelly with support from superintendent Steve Delisle and estimator Drew Dana.
