Hurricane Electric deploys new PoP in Boston data centre

IPv6-native internet backbone, Hurricane Electric is expanding its global network with a new Point-of-Presence (PoP) at Markley Group, located at One Summer Street, Boston, Massachusetts. As New England’s largest and longest operating multi-tenant, mission-critical telecommunications and data centre facility, One Summer Street will provide Hurricane Electric with increased connectivity options for enterprises in the Greater Boston area and throughout New England.

In addition to offering customers of One Summer Street connectivity options through 10GE (10 gigabit Ethernet), 100Gbps, GigE (1 gigabit Ethernet) and 100BaseT network connections, this new PoP will provide improved fault tolerance, load balancing, congestion management and reduce latency in the delivery of new IP connectivity services. Customers of One Summer Street will also have the ability to exchange IP traffic, or “peer” with Hurricane Electric’s global network.
