Living in a city comes with certain sacrifices, but delicious fresh food should not be one of them.
As we head into the heat of the summer, beautiful fruits and vegetables are in harvest season, and farmers markets are in full swing throughout the Greater Boston area.
In addition to healthy organic food, many markets also offer special events. Head to the West Roxbury Farmers Market for canning lessons and live music on July 6 or to the Egleston Farmers Market for a fermentation workshop on July 12. With markets everywhere from Dorchester to Downtown Boston to Somerville, you don’t have to travel far to find fresh berries and squash.
