Charlotte Premium Outlets has added Clarks Bostonian, Travelpro and Maurices to its tenant roster.

The nearly 400,000-square-foot Steele Creek outlet center is scheduled to open next Thursday.

A ribbon-cutting event is planned for 9:30 a.m. The center will open at 10 a.m., with brochures to be distributed listing store discounts, promotions and events happening during its grand-opening weekend.

The outlet center will have 100 retailers when complete, with a mix of apparel, footwear, fashion accessories, leather goods, home furnishings and specialty brands.

Clarks Bostonian offers footwear and accessories for men and women. Travelpro sells a variety of luggage including totes, suitcases and duffel bags.

Maurices caters to young women from size 1 to 24.

The outlet mall is a 50-50 joint venture between Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group Inc. (NYSE:SPG) and Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. (NYSE:SKT), which is headquartered in Greensboro.

Charlotte Premium Outlets is being built on a 40-acre parcel on the west side of Interstate 485, between Shopton and Steele Creek roads.

Its address is 5404 New Fashion Way, Charlotte.

The center is projected to generate more than $140 million annually in retail sales, with annual sales tax revenue of approximately $10 million.

More than 900 full- and part-time jobs will be created.
