On Thursday, NECN goes On the Record with Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Paul Guzzi.
Thursday morning, the Commonwealth’s Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development released the state jobs report for July, indicating Massachusetts added 13,800 jobs last month. It also showed that the unemployment rate ticked up slightly to 5.6 percent.
“The unemployment rate spike – a little bit of concern, but we’re still far below the national average of 6.2,” said Guzzi. “I think full employment should be five percent. So we still have a ways to go.”
