NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — New Rochelle resident Michael N. Rader, shareholder, and Chelsea A. Loughran, associate, of the Boston law firm of Wolf Greenfield, have been named the newest members of the Corporation of Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS).
In their roles, Rader and Loughran will support GBLS in providing free legal assistance to thousands of low-income families to ensure their physical safety and to secure fair wages, affordable housing, and other basic necessities of life.
Rader and Loughran have long been involved with GBLS through efforts such as the organization’s associates’ fund drive and lawyers’ fund drive.
For the past six years, Loughran has led Wolf Greenfield’s participation in the Associates’ Fund Drive—raising record-breaking totals in 2013 and 2014 —and has served as citywide co-chair of the drive for the past four years. Loughran also sits on the GBLS strategic resource planning committee, helping to ensure organization fundraising goals are met.
“To have Mike and Chelsea named as corporation members of GBLS — an organization whose contributions to the Boston legal world are hard to overstate — is both an honor and a testament to their selfless dedication and vision,” said Timothy Oyer, Wolf Greenfield’s president and managing partner.
“Both Chelsea and Mike inspire our firm to continually serve the members of our community who are most in need of critical legal services,” Oyer added.
Rader and Loughran were recognized at the Greater Boston Legal Services 2014 annual meeting last month. The five-year term began on June 10.
