Celebrating city-wide art, culture, and creativity, fall ArtWeek Boston kicks-off from September 26-October 5.
Presented by Highland Street Foundation and produced by Citi Performing Arts Center, this biannual event features over 60 unusual events and experiences in Greater Boston and beyond.
There is something for everyone including families, children, young professionals, visitors, and residents — and many events are free.
ArtWeek is a collection of unique events and creative experiences that highlight the quality and diversity of arts, culture, and entertainment in the greater Boston area and beyond. Each ArtWeek event highlights local partnerships that drive neighborhood economic impact, and build awareness about the area’s creative economy and resources.
WCVB’s contribution to Fall ArtWeek includes two sessions offered on October 1 called ‘The Art of Meteorology’. Attendees will go ‘behind the scenes’ and watch a newscast from inside WCVB Studios in Needham, hear how StormTeam5 uses computer models to track major storms and observe the process of creating computer graphics for the weather forecast! Then dine with one of WCVB’s StormTeam5 Meteorologists from a ‘heavenly’ menu prepared by WCVB’s Commissary Chef Tim Parker of LeanBox. Space is limited for this complimentary event and tickets are required.
To register for ‘The Art of Meteorology’ and other great ArtWeek events, visit the ArtWeek website artweekboston.org.
ArtWeek is presented by Highland Street Foundation, produced by Citi Performing Arts Center, and supported by ArtPlace America. ArtWeek is also proud to collaborate with major media partners including WCVB-TV and MeTV, the Metro, and Greater Media (including radio stations Magic 106.7, Country 102.5, HOT 96.9. 92.9 WBOS, and WROR 105.7).
Other supporters include the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, Titan Cares, the Improper Bostonian, CO Everywhere, Long Haul Films, and W Boston. Since its launch in Fall 2013, the number of ArtWeek events and partnerships has doubled in size.
