It’s no secret long-time Greater Boston residents have a certain, uh, disinclination toward the area’s student class. A long-time Medford resident really lays it out there in a recent video that has now gone viral on Facebook.
You can probably tell where this is going. And if you can’t, you’re probably a recent addition to area’s student class.
“Real quick reminder to all the college students that are coming back to Boston to further their higher education,” ranter Kim Costa begins. “This is really important; this is something you are going to carry with you throughout your entire academic career in the 617 area code: nobody likes you.”
You can watch the full video below, but be warned it’s slightly NSFW:
Costa didn’t immediately respond to a Facebook message seeking comments on the video, but—in true form—has spent days responding to haters and supporters alike in the post’s comment section, first posted on Sept. 2.
“I’m referring to college students you brain donor not the Irish or the Italians get a grip,” she responded to someone asking how long her family has lived in the area. “Why are you on here? whats wrong with you? Is Maury Povich over or something?”
Costa also hinted at future works that may soon go public.
“Tourists are just as bad,” she told one commenter. “They’re next.”
Sweet.
Unhappy with Costa’s rant? Students or other sympathizers can reply to her using the hashtag #intalopahs:
