The Catholic Charitable Bureau of the Archdiocese of Boston, Inc. founded in 1903, remains among the largest and well respected social service agency throughout the Greater Boston area. Catholic Charities Central office which is located in Boston, is currently seeking a full-time Vice President of Development to join our team of dedicated professionals.
The Vice President of Development will oversee and direct fundraising activities including developing and implementing a comprehensive development strategy. The ideal candidate will represent Catholic Charities and its constituents and others as appropriate and attend special events throughout the state. The Vice President of Development will be required to serve as a member of the senior management team and liaison to the Board of Trustees and advisory boards.
A Bachelor or Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience working in Development with management, event planning, marketing and public relations experience will be required. The individual must have proven fundraising experience with Capital Campaigns, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience supervising development staff. The ideal candidate must also have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to write clearly with tact and diplomacy. Budget management experience and strong computer skills with proven knowledge of Microsoft Word Suite, PowerPoint and Raiser’s Edge are required. A commitment to the mission of Catholic Charities is necessary, along with the ability to work days, evenings and weekends. The individual must be willing to travel to agency locations and other events as needed. A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel is required.
