BUILD Greater Boston, an organization that gets young people excited about business by giving them real-life entrepreneurial experiences, honored some supporters at its BUILDFest Gala Fundraiser Student Business Expo last week at the Westin Copley. The honorees were “The 4-Hour Workweek” author and philanthropist Tim Ferriss, Davio’s boss Steve DiFillippo, and the city’s Chief of Economic Development John Barros. (Barros couldn’t make it to the Thursday event because of the death of Mayor Tom Menino.) . . . Susan Lewis Solomont was honored with the Women of Valor award by the Anti-Defamation League New England on Friday. The event, which drew former Valor honorees Sandra Fenwick, of Boston Children’s Hospital; Catherine D’Amato, of the Greater Boston Food Bank; and Carol Fulp, of the Partnership Inc., took place at the Mandarin Oriental.
