Carrie Fisher joins C4’s Catasrophe

CARRIE FISHER is to co-star in Sharon Horgan and Rob Delaney’s new Channel 4 comedy Catastrophe. The former Star Wars actress will play the eccentric Bostonian mother mother of Delaney’s character. The six half-hour episodes, about an Irish woman and an American man who struggle to fall in love in London, also feature Ashley Jensen from Extras as Horgan’s ‘largely awful’ friend.

THE finale of The Office, in which Dawn and Tim finally get together, has been named the best Christmas special ever by Radio Times critics. Comedy dominated the list with The Good Life’s 1977 Christmas Special second and Morecambe Wise’s 1976 Christmas Special featuring the Singin’ In The Rain spoof third.
