Native Bostonian Mark Wahlberg is working on a movie about the Boston Marathon bombing and the days-long hunt to find the bombers.
EW reports that Wahlberg will be producing Patriots’ Day, which will focus on the manhunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. There’s already a script, based on the account of what happened from the Boston Police Commissioner.
In a press release, the head of CBS Films said, “There is nothing more compelling than a real story populated by real heroes. The team that we have assembled for this project is determined to give audiences a very personal look at what occurred during the days when the eyes of the world were on the city of Boston and how a group of contemporary patriots faced this crisis.”
