The first trailer for Black Mass—the story of infamous Bostonian mobster Whitey Bulger—just surfaced online. And above all the threatening dialogue and violence, the scariest part of this whole thing has to be Johnny Depp’s piercing baby blue eyes. Which is kind of weird, right? Blue eyes are usually adorable on husky puppies, Ryan Gosling, and, you know, actual babies. But Depp looks even creepier here than he did in Tim Burton’s misguided Willy Wonka remake. Forget a night light, we’re sleeping with the lights on full blast tonight.
