Bostonian Wants All ‘Rolling Stone’ Tsarnaev Copies Burned In Public

The backlash over Rolling Stone‘s Dzhokhar Tsarnaev issue has taken an interesting twist. One Boston resident has started a campaign encouraging people to burn the issue and post pictures of it online. Rolling Stone‘s Tsarnaev cover started making rounds on the Internet this week, with many immediately criticizing the issue for “glorifying” the Boston bombing suspect. “This is exactly why these f*ck heads commit terrorism so they can get the recognition they so desire,” Jack Osbourne wrote on Twitter. But one Boston resident is taking things a step further. George Aaron Cuddy Continue reading >>>

Boston Foundation invests in urban neighborhood

Every city contains a number of gorgeous neighborhoods, full of attractive housing options, successful storefronts and even some green areas in a sea of concrete. Boston, a seaside urban area seeped in history, is certainly no different. But how are some Bostonian communities able to remain esthetically pleasing? The simple answer is that some, like the Fairmount Corridor, see investments  from generous foundations. According to the Boston Business Journal, the Boston Foundation recently extended a $10 million pledge to this area, consisting of a 9.2 mile stretch along the Metro Boston Transit Continue reading >>>

a proper Bostonian

It's hard to pinpoint the exact moment when Paul Pierce truly understood Boston and when the city came to embrace the kid from Inglewood, Calif., of all places, as one of our own. Some point to the aftermath of the 2000 stabbing incident in a long-departed downtown club when he went out and played 82 games after enduring wounds to his face, neck and back and undergoing surgery. Others point to the 2002 playoff comeback against the Nets when Pierce and Antoine Walker (mostly Pierce) whipped the Garden crowd into an unholy roar, punctuated by Pierce jumping on the scorers' table in an iconic Continue reading >>>

Rolling Stone Magazine glorifies the Boston Bomber; outrages Bostonians …

Rolling Stone Magazine's thirst of controversy has left American's outright disgusted with the magazine's bizarre choice to put Boston Bombing suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, on its cover.  The magazine portrays Tsarnaev as a flawed hero; a bright and intelligent student who made some wrong choices. The article has interviews from childhood friends, teachers, neighbors and law enforcement agencies.  EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: 'Finding Dory', the highly anticipated sequel to 'Finding Nemo' is a Go, thanks to Ellen Degeneres' hilarious and long-time pleading to PixarHonorary Covergirl and YouTube Continue reading >>>

British journal blogs fire cross-Atlantic salvoes at JAMA, NEJM

Two weeks ago, former BMJ editor Richard Smith blogged, “Is the New England Journal of Medicine anti-science?” Excerpts: “I don’t know why the New England Journal of Medicine doesn’t publish electronically all the letters it receives, but I can hypothesise. The Bostonian paragon is unashamedly elitist and committed to excellence and virtue, just like their colleagues in the city teased by Henry James in his novel The Bostonians. Presumably the editors of the journal don’t want to overload their readers with what they see as ill informed criticisms, but want to present them with Continue reading >>>

More effort needed

BOSTON is not a 'Crap Town', however it is being made crap by a small percentage of the population who have a distorted sense of entitlement and total disregard for their own actions. I have personally witnessed native Bostonians dropping litter two feet away from litter bins, throwing fag ends down wherever they like, collecting their dog poo into bags and throwing them into the nearest bush or not even bothering to collect it in the first place. Bostonians, who urinate in public places including children's playground areas, sit in those same playgrounds drinking alcohol in front of children. Bostonians Continue reading >>>
