OCSD makes arrest in Rossmoor stabbing case

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has arrested 18-year-old James Anthony Rivas in connection to the attack on a female jogger in Rossmoor on Tuesday night. The arrest occurred at the suspect’s home several blocks away from where the incident occurred on the 3200 block of Bostonian Drive. The victim was jogging alone around 9 o’clock in the evening when she was attacked and stabbed. Despite being wounded, she fought back against her attacker, who fled after a neighbor came out and yelled. An extensive search was unable to to locate the suspect at the time.
