What’s the Worst T Station in Boston?

“I recently tried to hop the Orange line at Chinatown going outbound, and for the life of me I couldn’t find the damn outbound platform!” user Johnny_Wiggles wrote. “The entrance is across the street from the inbound side (makes sense) but is nestled on the side of some big department store/building and it seemed very unassuming compared to the entrance to the inbound side. Or maybe I’m just an idiot.” Redditor and subway adventurer BostonUrbEx’s list was the most thoughtful on the thread, listing a number of superlatives ranging from “worst shelter from the elements” to “worst Continue reading >>>

Griffin pointed to the Cambridge Innovation Center as another symbol of innovation in Massachusetts. The CIC website says it has "More Startups Than Anywhere Else On The Planet" and that CIC companies have raised more than $1.8 billion in venture capital. What Downtown Boston’s Median Sales Price Buys You

News thunder-clapped Monday that the average sales price for a downtown Boston condo was nearing $1,000,000. Within the same gaga data set was this nugget: Downtown's median sales price reached $650,000 in the first quarter of 2014, much higher than it was during the same period in 2013. Since the median is a better market measure than the average (less susceptibility to spikes from single mega-deals), we thought we'd go hunting for six downtown Boston condos asking around the median of $650K to illustrate what that buys. One is actually in Dorchester and "around" is the operative word Continue reading >>>
