At a median value of $418,300, Boston has blown past the prior pricing peak set during the bubble years. So have Cambridge ($541,800), Brookline ($591,500), Newton ($793,100), Watertown ($425,000), Wellesley ($1,012,000), Winchester ($789,000), Cohasset ($748,900), and Somerville ($435,800). RE “WALSH pushes for gay groups in parade” (Page A1, Feb. 27): As the granddaughter of a former state representative from South Boston, I am disappointed at the bigotry that continues to scar the neighborhood. I have to point out that Irish Catholics in Greater Boston, in contrast to suggestions made in the article, have long embraced our gay sisters, brothers, cousins, friends and co-workers. The National Weather Service continues to call for a significant snow storm to affect the Greater Boston region on Sunday night into Monday mid-day. Significant accumulating snows, south of the Massachusetts/Vermont-New Hampshire border are called for with the highest probability of 'warning-level' snows in the area south of the Massachusetts Turnpike. The NOAA is also monitoring coastal concerns. Concerns are centering around the midday tide, and wave/surge activity into the evening as northerly winds and wave action should increase as the low deepens and lifts out of southern New England.
