The Greater Boston area is dodging a major snowstorm this weekend as a system will be tracking off the coast all weekend. Earlier in the week, forecasters were projecting a significant snow event over the weekend before reducing it to less than half a foot of snow and eventually only scattered snow showers. BOSTON — While almost a foot of snow was falling on Greater Boston on Wednesday, people were already looking ahead to a possible major weekend storm. Forecasters are now saying that it may not be that bad after all.
