Newton Mayor: Boston Sets Tone For Suburban Governments

Why should non-Bostonians care about the city’s mayoral race? Setti Warren, the mayor of Newton, and David Luberoff, an advisor to the Boston Area Research Initiative, answered that question on Greater Boston.

Warren said that the race is “extremely important” and that the next mayor of Boston will influence suburbanites’ jobs, safety and municipal governments. 

Map: Pianos to Pop Up on Boston Streets

Playable pianos will be placed in public Friday. The Celebrity Series of Boston is launching “Play Me, I’m Yours; The Street Pianos Boston Festival,” in which 75 pianos will be located around the Greater Boston area to be played by anyone passing by. The event honors the 75th anniversary of the Celebrity Series of Boston. The group has published a map and lists of piano locations on its website.
