Staff report St. Bernard's graduate Stevie Moses of the University of New Hamsphire men's hockey team was named a semifinalist for the 60th annual Walter Brown Award, presented annually to the best American-born college hockey player in New England. Bill Burr: Riding High

Bostonian comedian, radio host and actor Bill Burr will be coming to New Jersey this month hoping to continue the amazing success he had in 2011. This past November, he had a sold out show at Carnegie Hall and was awarded the Boston Comedy Festival’s 2011 Comedian Of The Year Award the following day. MWRA proposes 3.9 percent rate hike

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority is proposing a 3.9 hike in the wholesale price of water and sewer service next year.

The agency says the proposal would mean a $17 hike in the annual bill for households that use the average 61,000 gallons per year.

An agency spokeswoman says the increase in individual homeowner bills will vary, depending on how much water the homeowner uses and how local water departments decide to pass on costs to ratepayers.
