Forecast: Thursday’s nor’easter may cover Boston area in 6 inches of snow

BOSTON - Forecasters latest projections for Thursday's nor'easter show upwards of six inches blanketing the Greater Boston area. Areas to the west and north of the city will likely get more heavy, wet snow while towns south of Route 128 will see mostly rain. Meteorologists have watched the storm all week uncertain of its path but now a clearer picture shows the storm going from snow to rain and then back to snow over the course of the day on Thursday. FBI: Serial Bank Robber Hit Boston-Area Banks

BOSTON (CBS) — The FBI is looking for a serial bank robber they say is responsible for at least four crimes in the Boston area. Investigators say the man, seen in surveillance pictures, hit banks in Allston, Brookline, Brighton and Braintree in December and January. In each robbery, the man showed a gun, threatened the teller and demanded money. The FBI is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. Boston facing nor’easter, up to five inches of snow on Thursday

A typical nor'easter will hit the Greater Boston area on Thursday but whether it brings mostly rain or snow is still undetermined. Forecasters are estimating right now approximately five inches of snow for the area. The warmer temperatures are expected to make the snow wet and heavy which will make the snow great for snowballs but difficult to shovel.
