Boston goes by a number of aliases: the Hub, Beantown (people that live here don't really say that), the Cradle of Liberty and so on. Myself and the millions of residents that inhabit the city and the Greater Boston area, however, simply think of it as "home." The Medford High cross country team got a glimpse of greatness while hanging tough with the Golden Tornados, Oct. 2. Waltham resident Jerome Bowen and his son, Brian, participated on Sunday, Oct. 6, with friends and family in the Greater Boston Walk for Autism Speaks. Brian Bowen was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2. In the past four years, the Bowens’ group has raised more than $5,000 for autism awareness and research.
