Who Do You Want to Hear Play the Piano at J.P. Licks?

Earlier this week, musician Fabio Tedde said via his Facebook page he would be playing the piano in front of J.P. Licks Saturday afternoon. A few weeks ago, Carl Stevens of WBZ played the piano. The piano is one of 75 located around the Greater Boston area as part of the public art “Street Pianos Boston” exhibit. If you could name someone you know – famous musician or casual player – who do you want to show up to the J.P. Pennant tilt boosts Boston business

(NECN: Peter Howe, Boston) It's a time of year Boston and New England would be inundated with autumn-loving foliage-seeking tourists anyway.But the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau estimates each Boston Red Sox-Detroit Tigers American League Championship Series game played in Boston will pump $3.1 million into the city's economy. Medford High golf team rises to the top again

They’ve done it again. The Medford High golf team recently captured at least a share of the Greater Boston League title, and now stand one win away from qualifying for the State Tournament. Coach Ray Dyer’s squad can punch its own ticket to the big dance with a win against Everett, Thursday, Oct. 3. Roughly 1,000 members of Boston's tech community banded together Thursday, spending a collective 5,000 hours volunteering as part of TUGG's Third Annual Tech Gives Back. Local companies, including EverTrue, DataXu, Promoboxx and Atlas Venture, donated their time at one of 26 locations around Greater Boston. New Report Details Housing Market Recovery

The housing market in Greater Boston continued to rebound in 2013 with rising home prices and sales, increased housing production and fewer foreclosures, yet a lack of affordable housing hinders the recovery, according to a report released Thursday.Affordability remains a problem, especially for renters, the Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy at Northeastern University reported. Greater Boston Food Bank proposes digitizing its billboards

“The height and structure won’t change, the only thing that will change is the face of the billboard,” explained Susan Connor, an account manager for RSA. If the Greater Boston Food Bank were ever to move from the location the rights to the billboards would also go with them, according to Connor.
