LETTER: Hospice Auction, Regatta most successful yet

It was a glorious weekend for Hospice of the North Shore Greater Boston’s 19th Annual Auction and Regatta on June 14 and 16.  This year’s Auction and Regatta was the most successful in its 19-year history, raising $370,000 to support the expert and compassionate care provided by Hospice of the North Shore Greater Boston.  The festivities at Boston Yacht Club, which included the Auction on Friday and the Regatta on Sunday, were attended by over 400 guests. Attleboro District Court released on July 9 police reports about the investigation of former Patriots player Aaron Hernandez, who in June was arrested and charged with murdering Odin Lloyd in an industrial park near Hernandez’s North Attleborough home.

The Charles C. Yancey Book Fair gives out 20000 new books in Boston – The Boston

The 27th Annual Charles C. Yancey Book Fair distributed approximately 20,000 brand new books to nearly 2,000 Boston readers last week at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Roxbury. Titled “Reading is the Path to Success,” the event attracted old and new faces from the Greater Boston area, who conquered the sweltering heat to attend.
