Jones Lang LaSalle is general contractor for Warehouse Bar & Grille

Greater Boston Video: Urban Swimming Program Aims to Prevent Drownings

Black children drown almost three times as often as white and Latino children do, according to the Centers for Disease Control. That moved the YMCA of Greater Boston to create an urban swimming program that focuses on teaching poor black and Latino kids how to stay safe in the water. Wellesley’s Sun Life offering grants, scholarships

To be considered for a Sun Life Rising Star Award grant, organizations must have 501(c) (3) tax-exempt status, promote skills that directly translate to educational success in high school to students under the age of 21 and be aligned with a secondary or post-secondary educational institution.
