By Chris Reidy, Globe Staff A report issued Wednesday notes that 41 fatal work injuries were reported in Greater Boston in 2011, accounting for about 28 percent of the 149 worker deaths recorded in the New England region that year. The preliminary 2011 report is from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, or BLS, which is part of the US Department of Labor. Fatal occupational injuries in Greater Boston have ranged from a high of 49 in 2005 to a low of 35 in both 2002 and 2010, BLS said.
