  It started with an idea to have a wine tasting with some friends. It’s grown into an LLC with a formal company name and large inventory of wines. Video Battle of the Bands is Coming to Patch

Patch will be starting collecting entries for our Video Battle of the Bands contest starting on April 9. The contest will pit bands from nearly three dozens communities in Greater Boston, the North Shore, Merrimack Valley, South Shore and Cape Cod and the Islands. The contest will work this way: We’ll ask local bands to upload a video of themselves performing an original song starting on Monday, April 9. We’ll collect entries over two weeks. Waltham High AD Bill Foley receives President’s Award

Twenty years ago, Bill Foley walked into the job of Waltham High athletic director facing a much different landscape. The school’s athletic teams were forging their way in the Greater Boston League following the recent dismantling of the old Suburban League. While they enjoyed some success on the fields and courts of the GBL, major projects loomed on the horizon as the city’s athletic infrastructure crumbled and its demographics changed.
