Janelle Randazza defines reality TV as a mixture of theater and journalism. Given that the North Shore native graduated from Salem State with a degree in theater before working as a reporter at the Gloucester Daily Times, her definition may come as no surprise. For the 40th consecutive year, the Lombardo family, owners of Lombardo’s event facility and Vincent’s Nightclub in Randolph, will invite hundreds of guests who are in need of a meal this Thanksgiving to attend the annual holiday dinner. For most American families, Thanksgiving traditions include turkey, parades and football. For the Lombardo family, Thanksgiving tradition means serving a free Thanksgiving dinner to hundreds of people in need. Volunteers Help Families Head Home

Heading Home, Inc., one of the Boston area’s largest agencies devoted to helping the homeless, announced Nov. 16 that volunteers from the towns of Concord and Sudbury generously donated their time to move two formerly homeless families into new apartments. New mortgage limits may hurt South Shore housing market

By Steve Adams The Patriot Ledger Recent changes in mortgage rules are making it harder than ever for househunters to qualify for a loan and threatening to deal another setback to the vulnerable real estate market. On Oct. 1, the federal government lowered the maximum price for conforming loans – those that can be purchased by Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae – in hundreds of high-cost housing markets, including most of Greater Boston.
