Legal Sea Foods supports Children’s Hospital Boston

From now through New Year’s Eve, Legal Sea Foods will donate a portion of the proceeds from every gift card sold to Children’s Hospital Boston. As an added incentive, Legal Sea Foods will grant a “Lobster Dinner Reward” voucher (redeemable for a 1-1.25-pound steamed lobster with a choice of two sides) for every $200 worth of gift cards purchased from the restaurants. The voucher is valid from Jan. 1 through March 31, 2012. All 19 Legal Sea Foods restaurants in Massachusetts, including the ones in Framingham and Chestnut Hill, are involved in the program. Punchbowl celebrates Web community with mixer

Punchbowl Inc., a Framingham-based consumer Internet company, holds its 2nd annual Punchbowl Mixer on Dec. 1 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at The Estate, 1 Boylston St., Boston. Designed to celebrate Greater Boston’s Web community, the event is for entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, marketers, developers and “anyone who makes Boston and beyond a great place to build a consumer Internet company,” Punchbowl stated. Chiropractic center supports food pantry

The Khoury Centre for Chiropractic and Wellness in Bellingham is supporting the Loaves Fishes food pantry with a holiday food drive, organized by Timothy Murzycki, a chiropractor at the center. On Dec. 10, patients who schedule an appointment in advance may donate one or more items needed by the food pantry (diapers, gift certificates to local supermarkets, nonperishable food items, personal hygiene items, etc.). As a way of saying “thank you” for the donations, Murzycki will provide complimentary chiropractic services on that day. Existing patients will receive a spinal adjustment. New patients to the practice will receive an initial spinal exam as well as one set of spinal X-rays, a $300 value. Reservations are required. To make an appointment, call the office at 508-966-3777. Harkavy opens law office in Wellesley

After practicing law in Boston for 27 years, John B. Harkavy has opened his own practice, the Law Office of John B. Harkavy, at 89 Woodside Ave., in Wellesley. The firm will focus on civil litigation involving medical malpractice, products liability, personal injury, general commercial litigation, employment issues, real estate disputes and appeals. Harkavy was previously a partner with Bernkopf Goodman LLP, where he headed the firm’s personal injury and commercial real estate brokerage sections. Harkavy was recognized as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer by Law Politics magazine in 2011, 2009 and 2006. He resides in Wellesley.

 

Greater Boston Commercial sells property in Natick

Bret O’Brien of Greater Boston Commercial Properties Inc. in Marlborough, recently sold 51,000 square feet on 2.78 acres of land at 19 Willow St. in Natick. Greater Boston Commercial Properties represented the seller, Nickinello Realty Trust, and was hired by the bankruptcy court as the exclusive broker for the property. The property is a multitenant building with more than a dozen tenants, anchored by Broadway Bound Dance, Tir na Nog Daycare and MetroWest Jiu Jitsu, but also includes a number of smaller office and industrial users. The property offered the buyer more than $300,000 in annual net income, but there are a substantial amount of capital improvements and other work required in the first year. Greater Boston Commercial Properties procured the buyer, Daly-Natick LLC, an affiliate of The Daly Company, which plans to complete all of the required work.
