Ashland resident named account manager at WGBH

WGBH announced last week that Rich Siden, of Ashland, has joined the station as an account manager for the Local Corporate Sponsorship team.

Siden brings more than 27 years of sales and marketing experience on television and radio to his new role at WGBH. He provides a wide-range of expertise for developing new business and maintaining the needs of current clients.

In his previous positions, Siden achieved success in creating fully integrated, multi-platform sales and marketing solutions to establish brand positions for his clients.

“Rich brings a wealth of experience to our local sponsorship team,” said Suzanne Zellner, vice president of corporate sponsorship at WGBH. “He has overseen many major brands in his previous positions, and we are excited to have his creativity, energy and drive on our team.”

Most recently, Siden served as business development account manager at CBS Television, Boston, where he planned and executed campaigns for companies, with many in the grocery and consumer-packaged-goods industries. Prior to his work at CBS Television, Siden was a group account manager at Entercom, Boston, where he worked with ad agencies and direct clients.

WGBH’s Local Corporate Sponsorship group works with businesses in the Greater Boston area and throughout New England to create sponsorship opportunities across the station’s many platforms: television, radio, online, mobile, print and events. Corporate sponsorship provides businesses the opportunity to reach their target audience while making an impact, and ensuring the continued availability of quality public media programming.
