Boston Weather Forecast: Sunny but continued cold with gusty winds

The National Weather Service reports that a cold front will continue passing farther south of New England today. Light snow over the south coast will end this morning.

We are looking at mainly dry but much colder than normal weather into Thursday across Greater Boston with just intermittent chances for snow showers.

We are watching the potential for another ocean storm that may impact southern New England late Thursday and into Friday.

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 23. Northwest wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 9. North wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tuesday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 24. Wind chill values as low as zero. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable.

Tuesday Night: A slight chance of snow showers after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Light and variable wind becoming northwest around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday: A slight chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Northeast wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night: A chance of snow showers, mainly after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday Night: A chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
