Leominster community lowincome older workers can benefit from OPERATION A.B.L.E. (Ability Based on Long Experience) of Greater Boston. OPERATION A.B.L.E., the leading provider of employment and training services for mature workers, is seeking low-income Leominster resident’s age 55 and older to participate in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, SCSEP gives qualified individuals the opportunity to update their job skills, develop new aptitudes, earn income during training, and gain greater self-confidence. Following a period of paid-on-the-job training, in which participants work 20 hours per week in a non profit or government organization, SCSEP, assists in transition to a new unsubsidized employment opportunity.
