For the next few months, as I wind down my duties here on Greater Boston, I’m going to be talking with a select group of people we’ve had on the show before, people with unique skills and perspectives who have elevated the discourse of the show. We’re calling it the Greater Boston version of “Emily’s List.”
Susan Wornick anchored the midday news at Channel 5 for 25 years and was the station’s consumer reporter to boot. Bob Lobel was WBZ TV’s sports anchor for more than 20 years, traveling the country to follow Boston teams. The two were a team themselves, married for some time in the 1980s.
They are both longtime friends and people who do a tremendous amount of good will work for the greater Boston community.
