New England-inspired restaurant Nix’s Mate is about to land on Broad Street in the Hub’s Financial District this month. White House to honor Dorchester Youth Collaborative founder

The White House plans on Wednesday to honor Emmett Folgert, the founder and executive director of the Dorchester Youth Collaborative, for his anti-youth violence work. Folgert is one of twelve people the Obama administration intends to recognize as part of the National Forum on Youth Violence Prevention. Milton resident tops Boston magazine’s ‘Power List’
