Winter storm warning issued by National Weather Service for Boston area

BOSTON — The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the Boston area from 1 p.m. Saturday to 1 p.m. Sunday. At least six to 10 inches of snow are expected to fall in the Greater Boston area during the storm. Icy conditions may develop according to the NWS. A coastal flood advisory is in effect from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday because of the storm coinciding with a high tide.
