As a recent spat between Pat Moscaritolo, the head of the Greater Boston Convention Visitors Bureau, and his counterparts in Las Vegas showed, the people of Nevada seem to think Sin City and Puritan Boston are indistinguishable from each other. East Boston Voters Reject Suffolk Downs Casino

Voters in East Boston rejected the Suffolk Downs casino application Tuesday, in a referendum that drew large turnout in that section of the city.The Boston Globe reported that voters in East Boston rejected the casino application by 56 percent, with 44 percent in favor. Voters in Revere approved the casino question, with 61 percent in favor.
